Tribute #1 by Debbie Otey

Oh Kenny, Kenny, Kenny how I miss you my dear friend. You were the first of my friends that I "lost" after we graduated. I remember getting the call when I was at Marshall from Terry Bollinger. I just could NOT believe it. I still cannot believe that in November 2001 it will be 24 years since that horrible day. In 8th grade a bunch of us had the same classes all day: Kenny, JD Rooney, Chris Sheets, Mike Harris, David Simpson, Cookie Monroe, Lynn Mollencop and me. Man we had some fun times especially in Ms. Black's 1st period Science class and Coach Thom's WV Studies class. And the many many times we'd all meet in the "alley" across from Lincoln to smoke a cigarette. To this day when I use the term "burr" I always think of Kenny. He brought quite a few smiles to my face. A precious friend gone way too soon.

Tribute #2 by Barbara Landers

Sometime in high school I had Kenny Perkins in one of my classes. He was one of the funniest people I had ever met. He kept me laughing. From the answers that he gave in class to the things he would whisper and say to people... So many times the things he said were touching. He walked through our lives leaving forever an impression on those who knew him. He was a terrific guy who left much too soon. We miss you Kenny.

Tribute #3 by Beth McClung Suter

I enjoyed talking to Kenny. I think the class we were in was Mr. Wilson's psychology/sociology class. It seems like we joked around a lot in that class. Kenny was a very sweet, friendly, polite, and easygoing guy. I am glad to have had a chance to share some memories of him.
