In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brother, Douglas J. Walters of Charleston; his sister, Sue W. Ragland and her husband, Paul D. Ragland, of Cross Lanes; three nephews, Brandon, Sean and Chad; three great-nephews; three great-nieces; and his best friend of 50 years, Billy Taylor.
Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at Bartlett Burdette Cox Funeral Home, 513 Tennessee Ave., Charleston, with Pastor Dr. Melissa Pratt officiating.
