Stephenson Boone Andrews, 57, of New York City and Amenia, N.Y., passed away peacefully in his sleep, December 3, 2016, after a four-year-long courageous battle with cancer.
Steve was born May 22, 1959, in Charleston, W.Va. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, the U.S. Capitol Page School in Washington, D.C., and Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va. A private art curator and lover of world travel, the theater and British royal history, Steve believed there were no strangers in this world, just friends he hadn't met. He followed his own path in life, and he will be remembered for living life to the fullest, always bringing the party with him.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Litfy Joseph and Mabel (nee Boone) Abraham; and brother, Joseph Calvin Abraham.
He is survived by his loving husband, Terence David Cook; brothers, Mitchell Abraham of Charleston and David Abraham of Roanoke, Va.; "sister," Candice Abraham of Las Vegas; many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and several godchildren.
Service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, December 10, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Amenia Union, 40 Leedsville Road, Amenia, NY 12501. A global memorial service is pending, details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Steve to American Friends of Attingham or Washington and Lee University. |
